FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who do you serve?

We serve veterans, elderly individuals, and people with physical limitations who face barriers to accessing essential care, especially those who are unable to use public transit or arrange their own travel due to age, disability, or health conditions.

Where can you take me?

We provide door-through-door rides to and from doctor’s appointments and specialist visits, dialysis and chemotherapy treatments, hospital discharges and rehabilitation centers, VA medical facilities and authorized non-VA appointments, outpatient procedures and therapy sessions, and pharmacy and prescription pickups.

What help do you offer at home?

We offer personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting), homemaker services (light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry), companionship (social engagement, medication reminders, and safety monitoring), and respite care for family caregivers who need a break.

Do you work with the VA?

Yes. We provide rides to VA medical facilities and authorized non-VA appointments, and we work alongside VA home and community-based services, including the Homemaker and Home Health Aide Care program, so clients receive coordinated, comprehensive support.

What counties do you serve?

We serve Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, and Colleton counties.

Can I volunteer if I have no experience?

Yes. No experience is necessary; we provide training. See the roles on our Get Involved page.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. We are a South Carolina 501(c)(3) public charity, and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
